The situation here has been extremely tense, especially after the May 9, 2012 incident. The businesses have been closing early and the people in general have barricaded themselves in their homes. The streets are significantly less busy than normal. It is hoped that this will blow away, however time will tell. USA TODAY has an article on the subject.Some of the villagers have taken the matter in their own hands and have patrolled themselves to protect themselves from the "bad guys". Rocks, clubs, bells and whistles are now in the arsenal of their protection, as well as the Army and Federal Police.
