It may not come as news to many of you, but Ajijic has been hailed as a peaceful paradise in a new video published online by CNN Mexico this week. (Click Link for video)

As CNN acknowledges, local expats maintain a close relationship with the native community, engaging in artistic events and actively participating in social support groups dedicated to children, Mexican artisans and animal welfare. According to CNN, half the foreign residents are from the United States, while Canadians and Europeans make up the remainder, drawn to Lake Chapala’s shores by its year-round warm weather, slow pace of life, proximity to an international airport and security. - Guadalajara Reporter
