Ajijic Globos 2009

Globo landing near our neighbours house.

Every year there is the launching of the Globos (balloons) in the local stadium. Paper balloons are launched using a fire source placed beneath it, to land (on flames) on some unsuspecting homeowner. This year, while we were out shopping, we arrived to see one on flames 3 feet from our front gate. Our neighbour was at the base of our driveway with hose in hand putting out the fire. It seems that our dogs were frantically barking at the base of the driveway in our absence, to alert our neighbour of the descending fireball. Only in Mexico!
